a take on the freakish bratz-esque game

Maple Story is a side-scrolling MMORPG featuring a disturbing, or as Wizet calls it, "cute" cast of characters with the objective of finding out how long it takes a sane person to crack under the constant pressure of subliminal advertising.

Don't believe me? Go to their web site : www.mapleglobal.com

Now that we got that out of the way, we're going to go to the real deal: my take on Maple Story. Well, lets start with what you're going to do from the get go.

You start out by creating a character using the huge array of customization options available (just kidding; there is no customization), and put together your own little screwy character under the honorable title of "Beginner". You load up, and you get out on the large, eventful fields of Maple Island. So that brings us to this:

The gameplay. MS is a huge level-grind based on beating pokemon to death with sticks while wondering what's beyond the area you are in now; with a twist of platforming. So while you're jumping around with your little monster, you get to enjoy scenery, battles, and wishing that your character would walk faster.

If you want to go more in depth than that, though, then lets start with the battle system. Fighting in Maple Story is based on 3 factors: holding the attack button, picking up items, and not dying. Judging by the fact that the leveling pace is terrible (the time it takes you to level grows exponentially: from a couple minutes at level 3 to 4, to taking days from 23 to 24), battling the same monsters over and over again with this shallow system is going to get boring. You could say that there are additional factors that add an extra dimension, such as casting a defensive spell, or improving so-and-so's ability to throw rocks, but that only applies after your character stops sucking, which can be a pretty hard achievement depending on the class (mage, thief, warrior, archer) and how well you placed your stats.

Talking about stats, you might want to know what you're going to be by the time you hit level 2, because you can't rearrange your stats once you put it down, and MS happens to be one of the most stat sensitive games ever. For example: you get to level 8, thinking you played it safe and properly allocated your stats by making sure everything was balanced and even. You decide you want to be a mage with your ~20 all around stats, when you realize that the moment you pull out the wand that you can barely do any damage; so, of course, you have to resort to beating everything with a stick until they slowly die. It is then later that you learn that the only essential stats of mage's are intelligence and luck. So technically, you screwed your next 50 levels because you didn't pull it off right in your first ten.

The experience of realizing that you just wasted 40 hours of your life, if not more, will happen to every MS player at some point in time, considering that they never even realize that they made a mistake until they're already level 25 (like me). That is unless, of course, that you have either read this review, or had someone tell you how MS works before you played it. The chance of either of these occurrences happening is pretty much next to zero, so you can imagine how bad this ends up for the rest of us.

Moving on; as an alternative to the basics of Maple Story, the game features plenty of exciting stuff to do, such as (and probably limited to) : talking to people, trying to make money, and "quests". Lets start with the later, shall we?

Maple Story doesn't have quests. They can call it that, but mostly the only thing you're going to find is the average fetch routine. So you can go ahead and indulge on the exciting challenge of collecting 200 mushroom tops for the next hour. If you're not really up for that, however, then you can always shoot for the platform quests.

A platform quest consists of a couple maps you must go through a few times in order to achieve a goal. These maps are pretty much huge open spaces with unbearably small plots of land that you must ascend in order to reach the top. Jumping up these things requires perfect timing and immense patience; that is, if you have any left, seeing as you're probably going to be hit by flying pieces of crap for the time being. Let me remind you that a blow from one of these things, or anything for the matter, will send you sky-rocketing to the bottom, blowing off every ounce of effort and time you had expended in order to get to that point. Fortunately, you'll get used to this, as it will happen myriads of times. And when you boil it down, the only real factor that comes into play is how you'll react to the monotony: with focus, or with frustration.

Luckily, if fetching and platforming isn't your thing (which probably isn't), then there is still hope. Party Quests. Get in them, and you'll be rewarded with a series of challenges that will speed up the snail pace process of leveling up. The only catch is that the five challenges never change, and it can take hours to get in one, because the folks at Wizet were genius enough to only let one party in at a time. Seeing that this is the fastest way to level up when you reach the 20's, and level-grinding the normal way sucks ass, everyone will be trying to score a PQ at once; meaning that it will take longer to level up this way.

Aside from level-grinding battles and quests, you'll pretty much be facing staggering poverty and the hard-ships of making profit. Money making in MS is a grueling process, done by either picking up cheap change from the thousands of monsters you will kill, or selling rare drops to the community of MS. Unfortunately, rather than placing the item up for bids like on ebay and doing something useful with your time, you will have to advertise what you're selling in order to hit the cash you need to buy the stuff vital to not dying in your voyages. So be prepared to stare at a text bubble filled screen for a couple hours hitting Up and Enter repeatedly in order to see results.

Not that you'll be missing the visuals or anything when you're looking at the text, because, quite frankly, Maple Story looks like crap. It probably has the worst 2D graphics in any online game to date. Sure, the sprites have tons of character animations, but everything is incredibly rugged, and you won't be able to do a thing about it since MS is locked on a low-end 800x600 16-bit interface. Luckily, where they fail in visuals, they exceed in sound. Because, unlike the visuals, you'll be able to turn it off. Sure, the music is charming, but it becomes extremely repetitive and is pretty generic to begin with. This shouldn't be a bad thing though, because MS is a low-end game, so you should be able to run iTunes in the background without trouble.

What is trouble is the community. If you have ever enjoyed being hacked, scammed, ridiculed, or possibly raped at any point of your life, then Maple Story is a god-send. The society of Maple Story is composed of myriads of unethical, convoluted children that will do whatever it takes to make sure that your life is as close to an emulation of the seventh circle of hell as possible. Whether it's the constant spamming, the border-line useless moderators, the disfigured text strewn with misspelled curse words and ill-intention, or the immaturity of the majority of all the players you're going to be rubbing elbows with; Maple Story does a damn fine job of making sure that your time is adequately wasted. The only relief you're going to have is if you have a personal friend online, but looking at this god-forsaken mess, I highly doubt that relief will ever come

yet another reason why shmups are better then RPGs

Before I get started with the review, keep in mind that it was submitted on April 26, 2007. This game is updated periodically, and given that nature certain aspects of my review my become null and void in the future.

Maple Story is a Massively Multi-player Role Playing Game (MMORPG from here on out) made by "Nexon" and "Wizet". The game is free to play. Sign up is a chore and there are at least two different areas where you can sign up to the play the game which can become QUITE confusing unless you have someone who has done it before hand help you out and swim through the confusion.

Graphics: 7/10
The game's graphics are 2-D. I'm quite the fan of 2-D and I don't mind this, Your character is big headed, and typically carries a striaght normal face, they'll show emotion when they get hit by a bad guy or if you hit the appropriate F key. Fans of Anime will dig this. Customization options are extremley limited at the onset of the charecter's life, but as time progresses, you score some cash, and gain levels you can deck out your charecter with clothing, armor, weapons and so on. Extra things such as weapons and clothing of legendary warriors like Lu Bu and Guan Yu can be purchased with "NX Cash" (something you buy with real money) to superimpose them on whatever weapon you are using. Clothing is a double edged sword though, as these clothing's look nice they offer no protection, and are merely for show, not go. The backgrounds are different enough to let you know where you are, like a dungeon, an ancient forest, a canyon area and so on. Hit sparks are not very flashy, its easy to see how much damage has been dealt and recieved, and the heads-up display is simple and not retina searing.

Bottom Line:
the graphics gets the job done, if you want to look flashy you're going to have to earn it or buy it.

Sound/Music: 5/10
The music is acceptable in some areas. a few places I think it even sounds nice. The sound effects are a different matter. Your charecter is mute. the most sounds you'll hear will be the cutesy yelps of the cute charecters you just finished smacking or killing.

Bottom Line:
The music ranges from tolerable to nice. The cutesy sound effects get old quickly.

Servers/lag: 7/10
I didnt really lag to badly on my PC, I'd stall once in a while on my laptop for a second, but nothing to the point that would seriously impact my experience. I for one think there are too many servers. Your charecters are also unable to switch servers. So keep this in mind as you decide which server to go to. Each server has multiple channels as well, so its handy if you want to isolate you and your party from everyone else. Changing channels does not require you to log out either. That's a good thing. On a side not Channel one is the trade channel.

Bottom Line:
A good computer and internet connection means you wont have any problems as far as lag. Channels allow for limited isolation. There are too many servers.

Story: 0/10
Define Irony: a game called Maple Story is completly lacking in any kind of Story what so ever. This particular fact confuses me.

Gameplay: 5/10
The game is pretty much a mix of Hack and Slash, Platformer, and RPG. You beat things up, you jump around, you level up, you get better stuff and skills. The bad thing is that they do not have ENOUGH of these three genre's to make the game great.

There are no combos, you simply swing your weapon.

The platformer aspect can get annoying since this game is Keyboard and mouse only. Thankfully there are very few sections that require spot on jumping.

The RPG element is done best here but even then it's lackluster. There are four classes for you to start out as, Warrior, Archer,Mage and Thief, not including the initial class of begginer, each class branches out to two seperate paths upon gaining enough experience. The biggest problem with the classes is the simple fact that just about everyone will have the exact same cookie-cutter build strategy for their charecter, origniality is over-rated, and one must do so if they want their charecter to be as effective as possible. Leveling up becomes a chore past level 25.

Another item of note is the "Fame" system. People who like or dislike you can "Fame you" as they call it. Fame basically says how popular you are. Granted alot of people buy it and sell it. You can fame any one player once a month, and can give or take one fame a day. Certain quests and items actually require a certain amount of fame to take on (for quests) or use.

Bottom Line:
The genre's that have been mixed into this game are minimal touches, they needed to be fleshed out more.

Community 2/10
This right here... is the game's biggest failure.

The game seems to be little more then a popularity contest in some aspects. When it comes to searching for assistance, it has to be something that the person in question WANTS to or NEEDS to do. Otherwise they'll typically demand money...lots of it. Every so often you'll run into a good samaritan who will give you arrows they dont need, spare you a potion or two and the like, but tehy are few and far between. Speaking of money, people love to beg and rip you off, they'll use everything from telling you to hit a certain string of keys to automatically accept a trade or simply over-price things. Remember the previously mentioned "Fame System"? Its hard enough to earn fame, let alone buy it, but I for one have had people walk past me and drop my level of fame FOR NO REASON, worse still is if you happen to cross a guild memeber, they might just call in their buddies to drop your fame massively, or even better repeatedly report you falsely and get you banned. Alot of people like to KS, or KillSteal, which results in them getting most of the experience and leaving you with just a bit of it. Some people also like running up to you and dropping your fame level for no apparent reason. And anyone who is higher level then you by at least five levels will be very eager to brand you a n00b (a derogatory comment indicating lack of skill in a game).

You can keep a buddy list, and a guild list for whatever guild you may be in, but the amount of people you can have on the buddy list is painstakingly small.

Then there's the hackers. Some of them dont really bother you, but the ones that do are the ones that will literally take all the enemies in their vicinity and place them right in front of themselves (or at least out of people's reach and then smack them up, taking all the experience for themselves. Worse still are the ones that "Vaccum" all the items dropped but the enemies and taking it for themselves. The developers and game security handlers release patches every so often, but they're no match for the speed at which the new hacking tools come out.

Bottom Line:
If you have friends outside of the game, play with them, stay with them. Nice players are a dime a dozen, if you find one befriend them. Beware of random jerks and hackers.

Game Masters: 0/10
What Game Masters? They're pretty much non-existent from as far as I have seen. This is bad. They are essential for spotting and dealing with hackers and gamers that are damaging the community atmosphere.

Overall 26/70 or 0.371 (37%) rounded up = 4/10
I honestly gave the game a shot, after a good start, the game got boring quickly, the community raised the level of my annoyance and the only time I seriously enjoyed the game is with my brother and a friend, and even then, it is only because of the fact that we were too busy fooling around, being silly, and cracking jokes.

I've long since quit MapleStory, but I still feel it's a worthwhile game, especially as it's (for the majority) free, and not particularly difficult to get into.

Although most MMORPGs require time, this one requires possibly the most of all. It takes hours of grinding and button mashing to procure the shiny green words LEVEL UP above your head. The feeling gained from this is possibly the most wonderful one you can get online. Although it gets tiresome from level 40 onwards, and even more so from level 55, it is fun and gives you a chance to make new friends. To visualise a screen, I'd say put Mario Bros, Pokemon and FFIX together, and you've got it. It's a cutesy MMORPG to say the least, but that doesn't mean it can't enthral players. Basically there are 6 main jobs. Beginner, Warrior, Bowman, Mage, Thief and Pirate. Beginners tend to stray towards Thief, Pirate or Mage, but they are all very useful and worth a shot. Basically, to sum it up - use fancy looking skills to mash carbon copies of the same monster for weeks. Sounds boring? It's not.

Graphics - 9/10

These cutesy graphics are quite superbly drawn, and the NPCs and monsters have a wide variety (although a couple more Administrator NPCs would be nice) For a free game with no actual profit, it is quite smooth and something even Square Enix would be proud of (and we all know how highly they value graphics). Every skill has a different graphic, but they get tiresome after a while. The backgrounds are beautifully done, the clouds seem to move with you and every area looks extremely realistic. They add new graphics quite often, which is applaudable.

Sound FX/Music - 5/10

Here's something that lacks. The music suits the graphics, being very cutesy, even the gangsta city music. It's novel for a while, but you'd be best off switching that annoying sound off and picking some nice music of your own to play while bashing Space and Ctrl. Each move and skill has it's own sound, which is cool, but the 'putt putt' of Magic Claw hitting a Zombie Mushroom over and over again can get quite aggravating.

Community - 7/10

I can't dislike the community simply because of the handful (or several handfuls) or scammers, hackers and Kill-stealers out there. The majority of people are kind, understanding human beings, who will help you through the difficult process of levelling. The ever present system of parties and guilds is in this game also, but it's actually very competent compared to certain other games. The party system is simple and quite easy to use. The guild system is slightly harder, but not by much. Also, people here are willing to bargain for items, friendships and everything else on this little game. Unfortunately, the higher you go, the worse it gets. A large number of high level players are all hackers, and as such are still quite immature. The secret to getting a good number of friends is by getting a guild, like my old guild of Peerless is Bera.

Controls - 10/10

I loved the controls of this game. They were superb and customizable to boot. For instance, the Mage class requires all sorts of potions and at least 8 buttons to activate spells. There are plenty, and the click n drag custom system is one of the best I've seen. The functions (party, equipment, items) are put on hotkeys that are easy to remember, and you can customize them too.

Availability - 9/10

First of all, it's free! Just go to the website and click download. There you are, all done. New patches come with the download too, so no worries. The actual crowdedness is easy to cope with, there are easily 150 maps in this game, all of which can take 4 or 5 people before succumbing to lag. Add the 20 channels and 5 or so servers and you have enough room for 75 thousand people at any given time. Of course, the markets and cities can take more, so that's even more capacity. But the problem is finding someone to go around with you on these maps. It takes 10 minutes to travel from continent to continent, which is monotonous is you're looking for someone to train with and your friend won't budge. But that's only a minor setdown.

Twists and Quirks - 10/10

Most games don't pay attention to reality. Maple does, however (at least to a certain extent). In the extreme cold/underwater you gradually lose health. If you fall from heights, you sustain damage. If you put on an oxygen tank underwater, you don't lose health. There is a little plagiarism (take the ship to Ariant, the desert continent, and I'm sure you'll start wondering when Disney will sue), but it's all in the name of good fun. It's fun little innovations like these that make the game so darn attractive.

Monsters - 10/10

These are the best enemies I've seen in a LONG while. It's very hard to come up with a plausible beginner fodder enemy, but here come the Blue Snails! It's amazing how simplistic the graphics are, and how well they've been put to use. Monsters are invented overnight for events, such as the Turkey, Cake Monster and Candle. I believe the Korean version has had Coca-Cola based monsters, which is funny in its own way. Mushrooms seem to be the theme here, with Green, Horned, Orange, Zombie, Blue and Giga Mushrooms all roaming the world of MapleStory. It seems most types of animals have been incorparated, from pigs and monkeys, to slimes and Lego giants, to fairies and penguins, and even one-eyed lizards and an Aztec God. Fantastic thinking and graphics. And of course, more keep coming, like griffins, leprechauns and probably a lot more I haven't been bothered playing with.

Replay Value - 10/10

Great. Just great. There's 5 classes, and at least 2 paths for each. There is also the legendary permanewb class, and the rare battle cleric and bansin. There are even more springing from these branches - Hybrid Spearman, Purestrength Warrior, and the fabled Battle Priest. Also, you can have up to three characters at a time, which is great. You can delete them at will using your D.O.B. Great idea to make more than one character at a time, or get one character strong enough to support others. Of course, it is quite time-consuming, so be prepared for that.

Questing - 7/10

Average questing in this game. There's what you would expect - lazy fairies who can't be bothered to hunt for green slime, old people who decide to give level 13s the job of going down an extremely hazardous area to deliver messages - nothing spectacular. The rewards seem a little dull. Who would cross continents, hunt down 3 diamonds (fairly rare/expensive) and kill dozens of random alien things to get free passage to a beach island? I mean, pay the 1.2k already! (Actually, since I had an Ice/Lightning mage, some of the best training from 40 onwards was on this beach island, so I did the quest). Slightly sub-par, and you don't get much for most quests - you can get a level 70 to hunt down the Solid Horns you need rather than labouring to do it yourself.

Tutorials - 10/10

Most games have tutorials that are as simple as to say 'Click here'. That stuff has been trashed and recycled now. Instead, the game starts you with a fun, graphically interesting tutorial, complete with apple costumes. Then follows an in-depth guide to the assigned keys. It follows with basic talking, item using, door/portal entering, hunting, picking up and a subtle jumping tutorial. It's very good, and doesn't go to the point of an NPC saying 'Oh no! I've lost my keys! Press Z to pick them them up!'. Instead, the characters tell you they're there to help, and give you rewards for completing the tutorials. Makes you feel special, doesn't it?

Overall - 9/10

Great game, made even more so because it's free! There's several sites devoted to the game, and the community isn't as bad as most (coughcoughRunescapecoughcough). Try it, and if you don't like it, uninstall. It's only a gigabyte or so, which is great, because almost any modern computer can play it. Be prepared for months of devotion - you'll need it. Hitting Green Mushrooms with a Broadsword for several months does get boring. But it's still one of the best MMORPGs on the net. It's a great game, and I applaud Wizet and Nexon for having the guile to come up with an ingenious idea as such. A job well done, and I'd like to see some even better projects in future.

maplestory--guilds

How do you join one? How do you start one? What are the benefits of guilds? Are there any drawbacks?

Guilds are supposed to be like a "clan" or something .. for people with same interest to join .

You can go to orbis to start a guild but first you need 1.5M and 6 people in your party to make a guild .

You can expand your guild for more money . And if you want a picture beside your guild name you have to pay more than 1.5M

NPC Creation of maplestroy

All forms of item creation have a couple of major things in common. There are the following common things to do:

1) Finding out what materials are needed to make what you wish to make.

2) Collecting the required materials. The method needed to collect the required materials may be different between the different methods of item creation. This will be explained in more detail below.

3) Collecting any optional materials, if available. Many times you can collect extra items to add additional bonuses to equipment. The bonuses follow the possible bonuses available through scrolling.

4) Going to the proper NPC or using the proper skill.

5) Following the directions required to make the equipment. Things are usually pretty simple after this point.

The fact you need to talk to a specific NPC (non-player character) in order to make a particular piece of equipment is the main similiarity to the three kinds of NPC creation. For the sake of this article, they'll be named event NPC, itcg/cash shop NPC and regular NPC creation. The reason for seperating the 3 kinds of NPC creation is because of the methods used to collect the required items.

Event Equipment creation, as the title suggests, are connected to short time events that happen every so often in Maplestory. The following usually apply to event based equipment creation.

1) The NPCs are usually specifically created for the event and are only available during the event.

2) The required items are available only during the event. Sometimes they can be collected from any monster, and sometimes they are available from a particular map and with special monsters.

3) Some Event equipment creations are also cash shop item creations as well, but it is not always the case.

Itcg/cash shop NPC equipment creation requires you to either find the required items from other players if they are tradable, or to purchase something with real money. The NPC you talk to will likely be the same for any item that is created for the particular set or event associated with the equipment. Cash shop Item creation is most often a kind of event equipment creation. The reason it is kept separate is only because it costs money to use.

Many ITCG (Internet Trading Card Game Currently only for Maplestory Global) cards have special codes on the physical cards to redeem in game for either equipment, useable items or "parts" used to make equipment. The code redeeming section is in the cash shop. To make various equipment with the "parts" items, you often have to complete a "quest" and talk to a couple NPCs to make the desired equipment. The NPC you need to talk to will likely be different, depending on the itcg set you have the parts for.

Regular NPC creation only requires drops that can be found from various monster drops at any time. In most cases the class specific kind you wish to make can be made in the town the job class starts in.

Tips How to View Private Myspace Profiles

We all notice that if you are a MySpace user, you've come across some profiles that you're dying taboo to view but only to catch out that they're set to private. You realize that the simply way to view their profile is to add them as a friend and hope they accept. Unfortunately, nearly of the time they don't know you and they wont accept your friend request. However, I can show you how to view private profiles on MySpace.

I know personally, I've stumbled upon a profile of someone I thought I recognized. All I need to do is look into some more pictures on their profile to be sure. But when I try to view their MySpace profile, I find it's set to private. Now I see the only way I can view their pictures is to send a friend request to them. But we all know that this can be tiresome and most of the time not work at all. If their profile is set to private, they'll most potentially not add you as a friend.

Private profiles is a great feature on MySpace, however they can be a real annoying when it comes to finding friends that you haven't seen in a long time, or becoming friends with someone that you think look cool

Maplestory Carnival Affair Quest

As abounding of you maplers out there know, there is an acutely acceptable affair adventure accessible to all players amid the levels of 31-50. This is the carnival affair quest. Basically, during this "pq" (short for affair quest), you anatomy a team, and actualize a map by beat on the npc (or non-player character). Then, a aggregation with the aforementioned amount of members, alignment anywhere from 2 to 6 humans can challenge. Both teams annihilate monsters simultaneously, earning credibility for their aggregation for every kill. After 10 minutes, the aggregation with the accomplished amount of cp (carnival points) wins the game.

First off, the rewards of the pq. Every pq has to accept something acceptable appear out of it. Otherwise, no one would bother pqing. First off, you can aggregate maple bill that the monsters will bead as you annihilate them. You can allocution to an npc to barter these bill in for weapons for any class. You barter in 7 bill for the weakest items available, all the way through 20 bill for the accomplished akin weapons. Also, you can barter 50 bill in for the acclaimed Spiegelmann Necklace. This chaplet gives you about 27 abracadabra and weapon defense. Also, it gives you at atomic +1 in strength, intelligence, dexterity, and luck. If you are lucky, you may end up with a +2 in one of the categories, or even +2 in 2 categories. If you get a +2 in one category, accumulate it, unless that class doesn't advice your class; in which case, you advertise it for up to 2 million, or barter with anyone abroad who needs it and has the one you need. Also, the acquaintance you acquire from accomplishing this pq is unbelievable! Not alone do you get the acquaintance from killing the monsters, but you aswell get accolade acquaintance for both acceptable and losing! There are ranks accustomed to you based on how abounding credibility you managed to acquire during the pq. The everyman rank that you should get if you in fact do something is a C, which gets you 21,000 exp if you win, and 7,000 exp if you lose. Then comes B with 25,500 for acceptable and 8,500 for losing, and A with 30,000 for acceptable and 10,000 for losing.

Maplestory Ludibrium Adventure Guide

Your affair needs to cover a Magician with Teleport, a Bandit or Assassin with Dark Sight, and an Assassin with maxed Keen Eyes or a Crossbowman with maxed Eye of the Amazon. A Cleric is awful recommended. All-Cure potions are aswell awful recommended, as the action with Alishar will occasionally leave your abilities bound or your appearance getting inflicted with the black effect.

To be a baton you charge an abandoned approach (a approach that is not abounding with a affair already accomplishing the affair quest) or track. A clue is area you address into your argument bar /find username. This will acquiesce you to clue the date of the affair central accomplishing the PQ and will be accessible to bang to get in if they're at the endure stage.

Stage 1:

Whatever you do, don't bang on to Sgt. Anderson. He brings you out and there are no questions to acknowledgment for how abounding passes you charge like in KPQ. Just annihilate all the rats and accord the passes to the baton to clear.

Once austere alone 1 being who said they'll go into the next date aboriginal goes in, if that's not you, don't go until he says clear.

Stage 2:

Hit the dejected boxes and aggregate the passes. Do not leave passes if not they'll disappear. Accord the passes to the leader.

Stage 3:

Be abiding to mark your aperture afore you enter. Don't access apparent portals unless they charge advice and don't overlook to mark.

Stage 5:

Go into a aperture and hit the dejected boxes for the passes. Aggregate them and accord them to the leader. Everyone has to do 1 portal. If you're a Mage you can do the actual top aperture and if you're a thief, you can do the aperture beneath the Golems. Never jump into the Golems afterwards Dark Sight. They'll annihilate you instantly. Mark afore you go into a portal. You charge not mark for the bandit portal. Everyone will be antagonism for mage and bandit because they are the easiest.

Stage 6:

Go up the blush blocks this is the admixture you footfall on to the blush blocks and columnist up: 133 221 333 123 111.

MapleStory Hunter's Guide To A Powerful Ranger

Welcome and thank you for using this guide. My name is Shaun, and playing MapleSEA Delphinus now, a LV92 Ranger . I also have a cleric at LV42 , currently inactive.
I decided to help out the community by sending a guide to Hidden-Street but I will not touch on the 2nd Job section as there are already many guides in Hidden-Street regarding that topic.

A special thanks to the Hidden-Street staff for allowingme to post this guide and for the information given. And Wizet for creating MapleStory.. This guide wouldn't exist without it..

If you're a Sniper, this guide may or may not help you... Well, just take your time. It's quite similar since almost all the Sniper's skills are the same with the Ranger's. Specifically, Arrow Rain, Inferno and Silver Hawk. These 3 are very similar.

Ver 3.30: Added a 4th Job Info and Skills section into the guide. Also updated the Custom SP Build a bit. Others contents are not affected. Guide has been widely filled.

Ver 3.15: Further upgraded the Custom SP Build. Added a version check for users to keep track of each skill build update starting Version 4.0 onwards. Corrected other further minor errors.

Ver 3.0 : Changed the opening part of the guide. Slight update on my character's LV. Cleared further errors. Edited some FAQs and some comments.

Ver 2.80: Updated the SP section. Table of Contents has been changed slightly. Other contents of the guide are not affected.

Ver 2.75: Updated the Custom SP Build to Ver. 3.90. Reversed the SP allocation for skills Inferno and Silver Hawk. Replaced the last FAQ with a Inferno FAQ. Cleared minor errors.

Ver 2.60: Updated the Custom SP Build once more. Added a version number for the Custom SP Build. Changed some texts and corrected more errors. Updated the information of 3rd Job
Skills.

Ver 2.50: Made a note on the Custom SP Build section. Please refer directly to that section for more information. Further updated that skill build also.

Ver 2.30: Changed LVs 73-76 of the Custom SP Build. Rearranged skills Inferno, Strafe and Arrow Rain <1 SP each>. Those who followed the previous, you can continue. Result will
still be the same. Cleared and edited certain texts.

Ver 2.25: Updated the "extras" section and re-edited some texts.Content is still the same. Just that some of the texts have changed.

Ver 2.20: Changed some texts for all SP Builds, cleared moreerrors. Also, updated the ending, notes and intro section.Added a results list into the Custom SP Build section.

Ver 2.15: Added some short FAQs regarding the Custom SP Build. Corrected some errors. Slightly updated the ending section. Further updated the Custom Build.

Ver 2.0 : Thought over the Custom build and re-edited it. Hope there aren't any mistakes this time. Changed all the "Fire Shot" texts into "Inferno". That's what it isin MapleStory.

Ver 1.85: Changed my mind on the Custom SP Build for Rangers.Figured that Thrust wasn't very well needed.

Ver 1.80: Slightly updated by cloud3z. Thanks for the help.

Ver 1.75: Included a user-friendly Custom SP Build of my own.Further updated the skill builds.

Ver 1.50: Corrected some errors. Updated the skill builds.Added an FAQ under the SP Build section.

Ver 1.25: Added a few skill build FAQs. Corrected more errors.

Ver 1.20: Re-edited and cleared some language errors. Made it easier to understand the guide better.

Ver 1.0 : The newly created guide... Having all the nesscesary information needed for a Ranger.

The 3rd Job Skills... One of the best set of skills in the 3rd Job Class... From Strafe to Arrow Rain, and Inferno... I'll give a short briefing on all the skills. This set of skills is so overwhelming!

[Thrust]: Master LV20 Passive
Pre-requisite: None

Description: Boosts up the moving speed.
Comments : This is by right the only skill that increases Speedpermanently. I liked it at first... But it's not too good. You can get at least 20 Speed from using equipments and
using a speed pill together. Some regard it as a waste of skill points .

[Mortal Blow]: Master LV20 Passive
Pre-requisite: None

Description: For a certain rate, allows you to fire arrows even at a very close range. Even kills a monster with one shot every once in a while.
Comments : This is a good skill. Unlike Final Attack, it only activates when you are close to the monster, not randomly. Also, this skill eliminates the minimum range problem. You may want to get it as soon as possible.

[Puppet]: Master LV20 Support
Pre-requisite: None

Description: Summons a puppet (your other self) for a certain amount of time. While the puppet is around, the monsters will attack the puppet, not you.
Comments : This skill's sole purpose is to lure monsters and then SHOOT!Very useful in those closed-up maps where it's so tight that there's nowhere to run. Just place a puppet somewhere else, the monster will move away and you're safe.

[Inferno]: Master LV30 Active
Pre-requisite: None

Description: Uses fire-based arrows to attack up to 6 monsters at once.Only works when equipped with a bow.
Comments : This skill is otherwise known as Fire Shot. Nice skill. Finally, bowmen have an elemental attack. There is also that 1.5x element weakness multiplier. It also works exactly like Arrow Bomb except it doesn't stun. Unlike Sniper's Ice Shot, this skill can critical but their's do not. Works wonders with Critical and the elemental weakness together.

BunnieSohee's Guide For Ranger 70-120

There are TOO MANY ARCHER GUIDES with the SAME BORING information. So i will not touch on level 1-70.

I just kinda kinda not happy about the lack of hunter guides, Im a level 9X Ranger playing in MapleSea Aquilla and i think its time a voice from Aquilla stood out.

Ranger Pros and Cons :

Pro's
Good speed
All you need is a + 10 speed snowshoes , Icarus 2 cape + 10 dex, a speed pill, and a +10 speed bow to make your speed 40. Therefore you land faster than Assassins and have a faster shot repeating rate than them.

High-damage and Good Skills
A hunter has many skills that are a combinations of other jobs, for example,Strafe is a
varation of savage blow WITH critical. Therefore you have stable medium high damage. Rain
is like slash blast for a warriors pole-arm, but without the loss in damage per enemy hit.
Inferno is like OMG!! It totally overpowers Fire mages explosion in terms in speed. And
unlike Snipers ice shot, it has the ability to critical.

Good stalling ability
Two stalling skills, Puppet and Hawk, while totally useless with higher level boss monsters due to the fact that they have massive aoe(area of effect) spells. It works very well and saves you thousands of mesos. Because one hit recieved in higher level dungeons is equal to one unagi or higher wasted. Hunters are useful in zakum for stunning the mobs zakum spawns out.

TOO MANY MOB KILLING SKILLS
Just too many mob killing skills, you got bomb, rain and inferno, what else do you want?

Con's
Archer is boring to train for 80 levels Firstly, youre using the same skill Double shot or Arrow blow for 80 levels, since level 1 strafe is not efficient and costs you more pots. And if you take Arrow rain and decide to train at forest of golem maps. You will suffer
until level 82 before you master rain and start owning those mobs.

Archer items are HARD TO FIND(but rather cheap)I spend hours trying to look for my overalls and bows in the free market.

Archer is a upper-tier character. The tier order goes this way. Dragon knight, Bandit, Sniper,Ranger,Assassin,Crusader/Knight, Ice/lit wizard, Fire/Poison Wizard, and Priest is in the lowest tier. This goes in the order of damage range. Therefore archer is not the best, But is still high up.

Archer is straining on your fingers.Later ill be discussing on techniques for hunting. Consistently spamming jump strafe makes you out match assassin if youre good enough.

Lastly archer is lousier that SNIPER.No matter how i dont want to admit it, Snipers have way better damage. But we still look cool right xD? Hehehe.

The Misconception of archer is hard to train. Its harder than sins due to lack of jump evasion at level 40-60, but the speed of training is PRECISELY the same due to the same amount of exp needed to level therefore archers are NOT hard to train at all but its ONLY IN YOUR MIND that makes you not want to train archer. Comparing it with other classes.
BANDIT class is the hardest to train due to lack of ranged skills and only a single hitting enemy attack which can be compared to any other jobs first job attack skill. And is easier to train at higher levels compared with a ASSASSIN due to the fact that archer has become a good handler in and out of enemy mobs. And you don't have to repetitively climb the ladder to hit one of Zakums upper hands.

Techinques

Normal training techniques
The jump over small monsters, turn around shoot theory. This works for small monsters only. Example : Trapped in a corner with a agro'ed fire boar walking towards you. Simply Jump over it and shoot.

Momento Abuse(Movement)
using monsters to intentionally propel you foward, which requires lots of practise. This involves a monster spawning directly on you, and pressing jump + a
left or right direction and propels you forward a further distance.(pretend you got hit by a lupin banana in midair and thats the motion im talking about)

Momento Abuse part two
Ever had a large monster spawn on you? Where you usually took 2 bump hits from it trying to get out from its center,Stone golem for example.Use the momentum by the direction it knocked you in to escape the second hit.

Invincibility frame abuse
For example, in Santuary 3, where you see a Taurospear ready to poke you, just bump into a cold eye and recieve 70 damage instead of 1600

Jump raining
This method is the best way to lure and kill large mobs asap. Its equivalent to the mages teleport and cast. Unless mages jump cast and then teleport(which I don't see often).Just jump rain into a group of monsters and repeat cast it.

Rope Escaping
Using a rope to evade damage from a charging attack(monster bumping into you),or an projectile.

Order of skills
Close proximity to medium proximity to far away. Use Arrow rain to lure, puppet to provoke, and when the enemies are stalling in that other direction, you get to arrow bomb/strafe/inferno them at your own disgression. Using the correct skills at the correct time is very important.

Cliff Sniping
Stand on an area where enemys cant hit you and... SHOOT

Knowing when to run
Do not stick in a corner when you have a mob charging towards you. Monsters usually have a patrol radius of half a screen left and right from their target(YOU).Therefore if youre cornered with no mob hitting skill at close proxmity, you may have to waste potions just to get out.Advanced Training Techniques

Jump Shooting (3 parts)
Binding-The perfect button,SPACEBAR!! Its in close proximity within your probable keyboard setting. Mine is Z - Arrow Bomb, C - Arrow Rain, V - Fire shot, F - Puppet, X - Strafe.
As you can see. binding jump to a common key with a big surface area is easier than haveing a cramped key setting like u,i,h,j,k,n,m. With j as your jump key.Finding the perfect key is important otherwise you may suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome(hand joint disfiguration)

Technique- A jump shot must be executed with both buttons pressed at the same time in the same frame.A tap will suffice, holding it will just increase the effort needed to lift your fingers and hit them again. I suggest you try practising a light bounce of the keyboard with your fingertips. To save money, practise chair-hopping. This involves a chair(relax chair,sky-blue wooden chair). Press at the correct time, and you will see your character jumping without changing the animation to a jump animation, and you will see your character in the sitting position "jump".Jump shooting also saves the time you stop moving for 16 frames when you cast a support skill like Soul arrow.

Timing- Jump shooting needs proper timing, not for the initial jump, but for the exact time you can do another jump shot again. You have to estimate the amount of time needed
to land if you hit a monster. For example you jumps fowards into a mixed golem, and you have that knockback animation in the air where your character freezes for a frame without moving when the monster hits you. This lag time will cause you to lose out on a split second advantage with your ksing foe.

Using Monsters/Background objects to propel you fowards. For example in the ice caves, using the geysers to knock yourself forward and slip past a mob.

How to earn money in mapleSea
Scrolls scrolls SCROLLS and more scrolls. Not those cruddy scrolls you get in PQ, but by training hard you get at least one every two levels. In maple sea, scroll prices are HIGHLY INFLATED due to high demand and high availability. The fastest way to make money in maplesea is to make multiple accounts, train each of them to level 40(can be done in 4 weeks) and complete all the quests that gives you 60% glove for attack or 10%. This means either 2-3m for each character. And then they can put their eqips found in storage and delete the character and start over.(This may be considered abuse, but i dont think many know about it)

Train at efficient places. Since monsters have a 60% chance of dropping money and an etc drop. So one shot one kill = 60% chance a money roll will drop. This means more loot and more chances of rare drops.

Scroll Equipment and sell them at higher prices. Since godly equips in aquilla are high in demand. And each goes for about 4m-54m depending on the stats. We have high rollers spamming 10% scrolls on weapons these days. And high rewards if they suceed.

MapleStory Mage: Stat and Skill Builds

I’ve had a little experience handling Mages in maple and would like to share them to people who are in need of it. This is what I’ve learnt by playing, following the guidance of others and the result is my own conclusion of the best way to go.
The layout was be made very basic for easy reading
I will assume that if you are reading this, that you have, to an extent, a bit of knowledge about the Magician class, and of maple in general, therefore, i will not be specific to the last letter

Beginning
With the new and convenient stat system, the dice is now thrown away and the hellish rolling for hours on end has come to an end. Now all you need to do is pick your looks and make an immediate entrance into the world of maple. Your choice of Magician would not be a bad one. To be honest, all classes have their own Pros and Cons, but personally, i just don’t find other jobs too alluring.

Magicians have the advantage of powerful ranged magical attacks, though from the start, the damage is insignificant, it gradually shapes up and in the 20-30s, Magicians are one of the strongest hitting classes, if not The strongest.

Although they lack defence and hp, they take refuge in their absolute defence, Magic Guard, which allows players Mp to soak in damage and on frequent occasions, save you from losing precious experience points.

The Cleric has the bonus of the Healing spell, which does what its name clearly states, and when maxed, restores 300% of your hp, although the healing rate is divided in a party, it would still be a considerable amount; 300%/6 P.members= 60% Hp healed for each member. The plus being that the use of Hp potions become unnecessary, but still, i recommend to have a couple of hundreds in reserve.

These are few Dis/Advantages but will not go on further.

Stat Build
The new stat system has a few advantages. Such as, now that you are not limited to sticking to the regular build right from the beginning, you can put a few more points into strength, so that the process of questing/grinding will be sped up at a considerable rate and at the moment of job advancement, your stats will be reset perfectly, therefore this is what i have come up with:

From level 1-8 your first priority would be to make Intelligence 20, ignore Luck for now and proceed to add the rest into Strength to hit mobs harder.

From the first job advancement though, till the maximum level cap., you will have to stick to this golden rule:

3+ your level into Luck and the rest must always go into Intelligence. I disregard Luckless builds and the like as they are difficult to manage, unless you are rich to the point where going around towns spitting out money for the poor is something done on a daily basis.

First job advancement
Now you are at level 8 and ready to gain your initial wings to fly. proceed to “Elinnia” and at the very top of the map, there will be a portal which will take you to where “Grendel” is. Proceed to converse and agree to become a Magician. You will receive a training wand, which is quite handy seeing as you are under funded.

Levelling from 8-15
Now that you hold the first job, first, put a point into Energy bolt.

Note: be careful with Skill point allocations, though a couple in the wrong skill will not ruin your character, i advise you to follow my build.

Class Choices

There are twelve classes at the end game. The classes are all somewhat different. They are aggregate into 5 capital classes: Mage, Warrior, Archer, Pirate, Thief. Each chic is bare at the end bold as well.

Graphics

The cartoon are actual apple-pie cut, and there is a nice background. It has bigger cartoon than a lot of added 2D ancillary scrollers. The spell furnishings attending cool, and so do the added chic skills. The about-face off to some is that the cartoon are too kid oriented.

The appearance models are awe-inspiring as well. Their active annual for bisected their physique height, and they accept accept arms.

1). Monster Carnival

Whenever you see a maple coin, go get it. Do what you accept to. Steal them, annihilate the mob for them, whatever you feel like. If you accept enough, allocution to Spiegelmann and buy the accomplished akin items you can(level 40, I think). Do a little analysis and see which weapons NPC for the accomplished price. 50 bill could rake in over 1mil. And this happens while you alternation so fast exp and some appropriate mesos.

2). Quests

Lots of quests accord abundant rewards. Just arena through the bold and commutual quests can accord you abundant mesos to buy potions, weapons, and armor. Quests can yield several hours to complete and they dont consistently accept the best reward. I acclaim you attending up the quests afore attempting them.

3). NX cash

Now this is an effective, but acutely chancy technique. First you charge about 10k NX. Go to Augment Altar (Zipangu). I dont apperceive if this is absolutely accurate but I’ve heard that you can’t accept any items on the arena or any added humans by you if you use Gochapon or abroad you will access items that aren’t account actual much. Go to Gochapon and use your 10k NX to buy 11 tickets.

Use all your tickets and you will a lot of acceptable get something account over 10mil. I can about agreement an account account about 10m if application augment shrine.. unless you accept abhorrent luck. Now lets say you get a 30% barb for attk scroll. Appropriate now on Broa, thats about 23m. You can go to the barter tab appropriate next to the nx boutique and advertise that for about 5k NX. You just got addition 5 tickets appropriate there. Now if you abide to do this, you could be acutely rich! But this is actual chancy because your application absolute money. You could end accepting beneath maple adventure mesos in your wallet and on your appearance again you started with.

Thats all I accept now guys. sorry.. a bit short.Happy Maplestory!!!

Get a maplestory account with millions MS mesos !

There are twelve classes in the last game. The courses are all slightly different. Is Chapter 5 classes: Mage, warrior, archer, pirate, thief total. Each elegant can be found at the end of fat and naked.

The cartoon cut real tart apples, and there is a nice background. It included a caricature is larger than many agreements 2D roll.

The magic of creating access to cool, and has the means to do so chic. The turning point for some is that the cartoon is directed to the child.

Models display is also impressive. They engaged in half a year stature, and I accept his hands.

If you are maple piece, go get him. Do what you have to accept. Flying to destroy people for them, whatever you want.
If you accept money to buy the floor to reflect the people and objects that can be used, provided that you (level 40, I think). Take a quick scan and see what weapons NPC for an excellent price. 50 The law could rake in more than 1 million. And so, while you turn so quickly and providing appropriate mesos exp.

Many requests Agreement rich rewards. Just-Arena from searches and courageous commutual may grant to buy m่‡ˆsos filled filters, weapons and armor. Searches can provide several hours to complete and accept this consistently the best reward. The applause visit requests before trial.

However, it is an effective, but severe technical Chancy. For a NX 10k. Go altar increase (Zipangu). I understand where this is absolutely true, but I heard that you accept all items in the arena where people have of you if Gochapon or abroad, you will have access to information Arent they really can not handle. For Gochapon and get 11 tickets to buy 10k NX.

Use all your tickets and will be a large number of accounts acceptable to around 10 million. I agree on behalf of 10m account when implementing larger sanctuary .. if you agree with horrible luck. Now you say you have 30% for beards attk scroll.

Suitable Broa thats now around 23m. You can ask the appropriate Exchange store tab next to NX and that for about 5k NX. You only receive an additional 5 tickets if necessary. Now, if you continue to do this, you risk acute rich! But this is dangerous because the current money your application is complete. You finally have to accept mesos maple adventure in your wallet and your appearance, you can start again.

Questing and Storylines in MMORPGs

Something has been eating at me for a while. I’ve played a lot of MMORPGs in my life. I didn’t really get into the genre fully until the release of World of Warcraft, which voraciously devoured two years of my life, as I’m sure it’s done to many other unfortunate souls. That was years ago, and I’ve moved on since. Moved on to the likes of Final Fantasy XI, Tabula Rasa, Hellgate: London, City of Heroes, Champions Online, EVE Online, Lord of the Rings Online, Dungeons and Dragons Online, and just about every single pay-to-play MMORPG that’s been released since WoW as well as numerous free to play ones. The pattern was always the same. That inescapable deja vu we all feel when we play a game after having invested so much in WoW. The feeling of “I have been here before.”

Where does that feeling stem from, exactly? A lot of things, but what I believe WoW brought to the genre more than anything else was quests. Fetch quests, kill quests, point-and-click quests. Simple bits of script and code that grease every level of progression like a professional eater uses condiments to lubricate every bite of food being rammed down their overstuffed gullet which cries out “no more, no more!” But, we masochists, we MMORPG players, we continue to torture our minds and wallets, buying new releases, and slamming level after level. The more lubricated every EXP bite is, the better able we are to endure consuming something we know in our hearts is completely bland and not good for us.

Kobold Camp Cleanup Quest in World of Warcraft

So, this is our reality as MMORPG gamers. We are a special breed of glutton, and to continue our gorging, we demand quests. More quests. Better quests. Tastier quests. What makes a better quest? I’m not sure. I can tell you what doesn’t, though: text. Am I the only one who commits the sin of skipping past all quest text and just relying on the mini-map radar to direct me to objectives? Objectives that, to me, have absolutely no basis in reality? I don’t know why I’m going to this X on the map, I just know that after rapid-fire acquisition of quests in the nearby hub, I want to go X and look for a thing that stands out. Perhaps something to kill, or collect. Woe to the quest that demands I open my quest journal for clarification – what an inconvenience! I have levels to gain. Bland, precious EXP to consume! Get out of my way, flavor text! Step aside, storyline! Go to hell, writers paid to squirt this dialogue out daily! I’m a busy woman. Max level won’t reach itself.

I don’t think I’m a powergamer. I could be, really, and just be in denial. I think I’m just jaded. I think I honestly just can’t be brought to care about anything in an MMORPG storyline. What’s the point? Any sense of immersion I might have is completely destroyed by the gold spamming, racial slurring, LFG-ing, lol u-ing, and WTF-ing in general chat. Sorry Peasant in peril #245, I know I’m the “Chosen One”, but so is pwnstick21, roflcow, and Samtard. They are all the Chosen One. Get their help too. Just give me EXP. Save the sob story.

Florensia – Look! The Quest Text Scrolls Down! Who’s Going to Read All of This?

This is very ironic to me, especially, because I have aims to work in the gaming industry as a writer. Whenever I play an MMO, I am spitting on the shoes of every writer employed by that company by skimming quest text. Granted, half a writer’s job is meetings, but still. I feel badly. I feel guilt. But I know I can’t help it, and I’m not alone.

So, my question to you is, do you not give a crap about quest text? Would you rather it just be a simple set of instructions for fetching more EXP? Further, do you normally enjoy storylines and immersion in an RPG, but find attempts at putting either into an MMORPG a complete waste of time? We can only pray for Bioware’s upcoming Knights of the Old Republic MMORPG. Of course, the franchise alone will make it a blockbuster hit, but all that writing, voice-acting… for what? Will they prove me wrong? Will they create an immersive experience that will change my life? Or will roflcow and Samtard ruin it?

9Dragons – Stfu and Give me Experience!

In my frank and honest opinion? All aesthetics, storylines, and attempts at adding detail and vibrance to an MMORPG (at least currently) is just an effort to apply cosmetics and perfume to a horse long, long dead, and sell it to people (including myself) who, in their feverish desire to GAIN LEVELS, pay out almost reflexively in the hopes that this one will be different. What do you think?

I will tell you the steps: Scam Someone in Maple Story

Many people want to know how to scam someone in maplestory, but Scamming is a bad idea. Most maplestory players wont to tell you how to do. I prefer hacking maplestory the game to earn mesos faster. LOL Example use godmode and vacuum hack.

Fist i will tell you some scams and counter-scam techniques

1.SCAM:

GM wants you to drop/trade an item

Counter this scam:

Why would they need your item if they already have every single one?

2.SCAM:

The GM asks for your password

Counter this scam:

Why would they want it if they already have it?

3.SCAM:

The almighty "Your password is censored by the GMs, try it".

Counter this scam:

They wouldn't do that for the world. What if your password was buying and you could still say buying? Don't worry about it, they just don't censor your password.

4.SCAM:

Slow friendship betrayal (applies to real life too)

Counter this scam:

Be on guard. Make sure they are very trustworthy, and see if they flatter you a lot. If they flatter you a lot, be cautious.

5.SCAM:

A guild leader that wants to test your loyalty by having you give an item and returning later.

Counter this scam:

See if you've ever heard of this guild. If you haven't go on yahoo, google, and others and see if they show up. If not, they're not a guild.

Now i will tell you how to scam others in maplestory LOL

Steps:
1.Create guy/girl with a confusing name, one hard to add into the Friends list, like magegirlIlIlIl96. In the game, that name is hard to decipher and see if it is a capital I or a lowercase L. Try making one in the world with your best guy as it's usually that one in which you want money right?

2.Get an item, preferably rare. One that is cool enough to convince the victim that you have NX cash. Oh, and it's better if you actually have something that IS NX cash.

3.Say something like, "Gifting NX items for 1mil (1k nx = 1.5 mil 1.5k = 2mil and so on)!".

4.If someone wants to trade with you, they will obviously want some proof right? So say "You give me half first, and I'll send it to you as a gift, and then you give me the other half."

5.Of course, you won't send the gift. Keep the half you just got.

6.It's quite obvious that person will add you to their friend's list since they don't entirely trust you. Don't worry, they'll probably get it wrong.

7.Once they fall for it, go to a random channel (the Free Market in channel 1 would be best), and have a change of clothes ready and hide behind people.

8.Intead of hiding, you could also instantley log off and log in again in another 30 minutes.

Do you remeber all above, just do this! You will get more maplestory mesos. LOL

How to Become a Better Mapler

The biggest mistake people usually do is taking the wrong stats. To avoid this you must know what class you will choose when you start out. Then raise stats according to your class. Reminder Warrior = STR Mage = INT Bowman = DEX Thief = A STR (30%) DEX (70%)

On Beginner island you MUST complete all the quests and train on monsters. Why? So you get out with lvl 6 or more so the bigger monsters don't kill you every time you try to get some exp. It's a big mistake too.

Pick up items! Yours or not, if you can, take them. If you do it, after selling them you will get your first 100k in a few levels. Don't waste money on potions and stuff, heal the good old way รข€“ by staying still or sitting on a chair.

Don't beg for items, money. NEVER buy quest items, only buy equipment. This way you save money and get exp by killing monsters for items. Of course if you are tired and still didn't get the item you needed, you can buy it, but only if you have a lot of spare money (buying lvl 20 equipment costs somewhere near 120k, so watch your mesos).

Always check what you will do. How to get there. What will you kill. Here you can even find guides on how to become a better thief, warrior etc. Remember to always think about the future, and you can become the top mapler

When you start off as a beginner you should already know what your going to be, and if you have chosen the path of a mighty warrior, the close range fighter, this guide is just for you. Also, if you haven't chosen your path and you are still a beginner check my beginner guide here.

1.Now it's common, that many people that don't read guides miss almost all attacks on stronger monsters. Why? It's because your DEX is low. It should be as your STR/2. That means if your STR is 42 your DEX should be 21, If your STR is 86 your DEX should be 42 and so on.

2.Basically warriors are strong alone, but after fighting a few packs of monsters your hp will go down. Do not use potions if you can rest somewhere near. That will help you save money, and even exp, because you only should use potions when you are about to die and there's no way out.

3.Having trouble leveling up? Just ask some nice people to party with you, it will help you get more exp and help other party members get some too. But if you join a party get ready to kill hard, because party leader do not like the members standing and sleeping.

4.A party is good, but not good enough? Your level is too high and the party system is slow? Then you should try the party quest. Just go to Kerning city on CH 1 shouting "Joining party quest" and if you're lucky, you should get invited. Then your party will get a few tasks to complete. For more info on the party quest go to here.

5.This goes with tip #2. There is a skill called "improving HP recovery" you must level it up, until it is mastered. It will allow you to heal more hp per 10 seconds. When you master this skill you will heal 60 HP per 10 seconds. This is a passive skill. That means it does not use MP or anything. Then there is a skill called "Endure". It will help you heal HP even when you are hanging on a rope or vine. When you master this skill, you will also heal 60 HP per 10 seconds, while hanging.

I wish you good luck my fellow warriors!

Free MMORPGs Need Better Quests

Call me crazy, but since last week I’ve gotten back into MapleStory, Nexon’s flagship MMORPG, and to my surprise the game has improved significantly since I first played back in 2006. Even though the game now has a boat load of new areas to explore and many new classes (Cygnus Knights, Pirates and Aran) the best change in my opinion is a revamp of the game’s archaic questing system. Aside from adding many new quests to the game, Nexon decided to introduce longer ‘chain’ quests which do a remarkably good job of keeping players engaged and providing direction. Since I started playing last week I never found myself ‘grinding’ mindlessly in order to level up as I was always working on a quest or two. What’s even better is that I never felt ‘lost’ and this made the game much more fun than when I first played years ago. My point is that all MMORPGs need to have more quests as well as more ‘connected’ chain quests.

MapleStory

Most free MMORPGs these days including popular titles like Perfect World and Atlantica Online don’t have nearly as much direction as they should. From the moment I create my first character a game should tell me where to go and what to do. I shouldn’t have to leave town and start grinding away aimlessly. What a lot of games do these days including newer releases like Dragon Oath, Dungeon Fighter Online and Cloud Nine is do a great job in terms of ‘quantity’ of quests but a miserable job in ‘connecting’ these quests to one another to make it seem like things are actually connected and players aren’t just doing odd jobs, but rather embarking on some long story driven quest. One game that did this particularly well is Dungeons and Dragons Online – as for the first few hours of the game players just ‘feel’ as if they’re a part of the game world as they progress through the game’s story. Quests feel connected to each other and feel meaningful. Obviously no game has really ‘perfected’ the questing system, but it feels like some games don’t even try.

Dungeons & Dragons Online

Games like HolyBeast Online, EuDemons Online and Magic World Online are three examples (of many) that don’t even try creating engaging quests. Questing in these games just feel like just another mindless grind. Don’t get me wrong – these games aren’t terrible – they just need to A) more quests, B) chained quests and C) story driven meaningful quests. One of the easiest ways to make an MMORPG better is to improve the way quests are handled. I can’t emphasize enough how much easier it is to enjoy a game that has many long chained quests, because it keeps players focused. The thought that there’s always ’something’ to do other than grinding helps keep things fresh.

Perfect World

Another way for developers to keep things fresh is to add non ‘kill quests’ to their games. Sure, a quest that involves killing 300 cute slimes can keep players occupied, but having too many ‘go kill X amount of Y monster’ type quests can get extremely repetitive. One type of quest that I really like in MapleStory that I haven’t seen in any other game is the game’s ‘platforming quests’. In these platforming quests, players have to reach the end each map by jumping from platform to platform while avoiding lasers, enemies and all sorts of other obstacles. I mention this particular type of ‘quest’ because it’s the kind of ‘outside the box’ thinking that game developers really need to start doing, because frankly, I’m a bit tired of doing the same ‘kill 294 frogs’ and ‘go deliver this item to the guy across town’ quests in every MMORPG that I play. These types of quests are fine, but I’d love to see some more variety.

Be good warrior Class in MapleStory

We would treat soldiers. We always want to add a new class Sortye allows me more excitement in our snipers instrested the future, whether we like it that much beter. We are Planing to a new world, because we like the idea of strarting more nofthing. We do not want to use our shooters anyway, which provides funding and IM bellocon Sortye bord but Lin did not know what server a good choice. Only once was. We need a warrior class, so instresting and real fun time, subject instrested.

We are not planing to spend most of all I think the car is not an immediate concern for the high injury. We are Planing to make a normal rate, we consider it a website, but heard someone say that's not going to be boring or difficult or wanted. We're not sure, so any recommendations on insecticides three warriors can be very helpful. Do not want to be the Kuwait Oil Company, instead of wating Alain certainly see how things are there to pay a high price.

We are here to inquire about the local training assistance. I recently went to level 72, we were a bit lost. From level51 at level70, and then spent much time to the temple and tried to take PQ. But, as you can imagine, the temples are old, and have begun to hope that we can train, sometimes. So far, all of our training, in fact, under PQing are characters stoppingly, Chargers to do so.

But in our experience, the coolie was a warrior expensive. We trained there with the white horse, and spent a lot of HP pots, and the antidote. Now, we know, not very rich, we expect to find a training camp, although not the fastest experience, this would mean a lot of money. For our pastor, this place has been a coolie, who coached the money and not spend a boat and the sale of the teeth, but almost certainly not in our not know much.

Maplestory Hacks for Revenge

Are you tired of getting scammed within the world of Maplestory? Hello, my name is Bill and I have good news for you! Before i start with helping you out, let me say explain a little about myself. I have a Bachelors degree in Computer Programming and i gradutated from UCLA. I will soon work for HP (Hewlett-Packard). Now, since i had to go through the excruciating pain with college, I know how to create CheatEngines for MMORPG games; such as Maplestory. It is very simple i shall say. I have recently made a CheatEngine (PwnHack), which sucessfully sends all information (Login ID, Password, Pin) straight to your actual email! How easy is that! But here is the catch. Since i am the Admin for PwnHack, I must put your account into my PwnHack Server server so you do not get caught by Nexon; resulting in permanant ban. By putting your account into my system, it creates a buffer with Nexon so they can not catch you taking someone elses account. I am requiring you to send:
(1) Login ID
(2) Password
(3) Pin-Number
(4) iGN (name on maplestory)
(5) Job

For the treasure of Maplestory

Now, are the benefits of all things, time to go on the road to find his treasure. First, you need to know TH'ing: treasure hunt task Treshi can talk, which is in the lower right corner of the clubhouse of the first things that few. Treshi accompany him to follow, which will remain in the camps to receive any item that takes you. You can pick up at each point of the monsters roaming the elements of land value.

Each project should be treasured points "in yellow (Treasury)" When you see it in your list. In its list of projects and project implementation to be sent to Treshi themselves, rather than in the red box. With him and the press. You can since its first race began a chase, but only mountains map available. You will be more maps in the main game to unlock progress. For more information, see our FAQ section. These claims generally, the point is to get the maximum points you may be able, because it will determine the amount of your refund will be.

The number of points Pokke receive, depending on the ultimate treasure hunt of their qualifications, and then divided by 10. Treasure Hunt can only be done alone or with other players, Felyne soldiers can not go together. With a little regular exercise any of its elements in their inventory when you start looking for things that can not be used before, it had no point megapotions, grinding stone, waiting. Clearly, from the inside to find the product may only be used. This seems a little annoying, but you can not have protection projects. From inside to find any of the items are kept, so you may wish to use their own search for their talents.

MapleStory Hunter's Guide To A Powerful Ranger

Welcome and thank you for using this guide. My name is Shaun, and playing MapleSEA Delphinus now, a LV92 Ranger . I also have a cleric at LV42 , currently inactive.

My favorite game is maple mesos

My favorite game is Maple Mesos, so now I talk about some experience about upgrading and earning Maple Story Mesos.

Now I mainly reference sea rovers (boxers), who how to play Mesos. To a number of people who want to practice their moves in hand some enlightenment. Boxers, like as fighter, is close batter, so if you played the fighter ever, you know how to play the boxers fast. Ability to add a little value boxer is basically the same with the fighters, but there are differences. Strength and agility does not matter, anyway, can be added to upgrade them there. Adding agility mainly is to help you to improve hit the target rate and attack ability. The boxer with arms and clothes has the requirements to agility (with the same level), so to be considered hit and weapons, and armor factor. To general players with low level equipment, basic plus agile enough, so I advise to play Maple Story Mesos before 60 levels, to keep your former agile, like as levels, add your clothes, caps, and shoes, except for weapons. This way you can keep your hit the target rate to kill the monsters, do not appear the MISS. In general equipment in cases where the original 60 plus hit the target rate should be agile enough to hit us, and we can consider the value of all the ability to add strength up. If you choose to fight sea rover after 65 levels, my suggestion is that since you do not kill monsters to upgrade, all the values of points are not to increase the ability, all retention, until you finally have to own manually kill monsters to upgrade a plus. Do not blindly when add to the equipment base on your situation, as long as you can affordable weapon

MapleStory Mesos Definitions Guide

The game Maplestory Mesos definitions of those abbreviations listed below ,read and learn them ,it's helpful!
Auto-ban This is a system that Wizet has implemented that targets the type of hack you are using. For example, if I say that God-mode is A/B, that means that more-or-less, if you use it; your character will automatically be banned. It will not be removed, since it is so effective. However, it is only in place for certain hacks.
Cheat Engine Cheat Engine is a memory editor that allows you to edit the behavior of certain addresses, and lets you hack Maple. I'm sorry if this explanation is wrong- please correct me.
UCE The acronym UCE stands for Undetectable Cheat Engine. This is self-explanatory.
Bypass A bypass lets you use your Cheat Engine and thus your hacks by getting past GameGuard. There are many types of bypasses, but most are private.
A/C A/C stands for Autoclicker. This is mainly used for PQ's, where you need to click on the NPC to get into the quest. To use it, you put both prompt buttons in the same place and run the A/C.
CT A CT is a cheat table. It is designed to make activating hacks much easier.
DMGCtrl Damage Control, What it does, is make all damage equal 0 (miss), 1, 2 or 3. This is usually combined with No Knockback.
No KB No Knockback, when you hit a monster, you usually spring back from the damage. This nullifies this effect. This is activated by using a Damage Control script. The two are usually paired together to create the same effect (or close to it) as God-mode did.
GGLess A private application that lets you run MapleStory without GameGuard running. This is private and only a few people have it and are only releasing it to people with legitimate reasons because this can also be used for pin-cracking…
ML/ML engine The acronym ML stands for Moonlight. Thus, ML Engine: Moonlight Engine.
AOB's Array of Bytes. Using these will allow you to update your addresses, however I use GThuggin's auto updater
Maybe is not a complete one, anyone who knows more please leave it in our comment and share with other players ,thank you very much!
